How we test?
Each gaming keyboard we purchase is unboxed and tested by one of our in-house team over the course of a few weeks. We will use the keyboards not only for gaming, but also to work – writing content, send E-mails, social networking, basically to do everything. During which time, we will consider the following:
Design – the size and weight, how many keys does the keyboard include, RGB lighting from a user experience perspective (per key or entire keyboard), keycap size, texture and material, how the switches feel and noise of the keyboard. When it comes to design, everyone has their own preference and taste, we try and keep things unbiased by keeping our eyes on the specific criteria mentioned above.
Features – does the keyboard include RGB, USB pass-through, audio hub, macro keys, media keys, game mode, customisation options. There are plenty of features to look out for, through our testing we will consider how useful each feature is for both gaming and everyday use.

The Zowie Celeritas ii is a simple keyboard done correctly. This heavyweight contender is one classy bit of kit but it’s not elegant to look at. It may not be packed with flashy features but it performs brilliantly to give casual and professional gamers alike a ‘tournament ready’ keyboard.

The Asus ROG Strix Flare is one of the most vibrant boards on the market. This board features some of the best media keys going and will illuminate your desk with style. The Flare can be customised more than most and you have a choice of switches! well worth a look.
The Corsair K70 MK.2 low profile board is a brilliantly thin beast and considered by some to be one of the best low profile gaming keyboards on the market. It’s a well-built board finished with some quality materials. The extremely thin and responsive Cherry low profile switches should be enough to give this some serious consideration, however, if not it has some impressive features too.
The Logitech G810 offers a unique typing experience with proprietary Romer-G Tactile switches, fantastic backlighting, and robust build quality. With lower travel and quicker actuation, this board can improve your gameplay and should be considered.
The Cooler Master SK630 is one of the few tenkeyless low profile boards available and is an impressive performer. The new Cherry Low-Profile MX Red switches in the SK630’s low-profile design means this board fits into any gaming or working environment. This board is well built and looks extremely sleek on the desk.
The Redragon K552 RGB is considered to be one of the best tenkeyless mechanical keyboards you can get for under £50/$50. A compact board with some great little features stuffed inside, This little board packs a big punch!
